SCAM Alert – Trainline.com and Shoppersdiscountsandrewards

Hi everyone
I boasted recently about getting signed up for a money refund when I bought my train ticket on thetrainline.com.  I have just been advised that this is a scam so please don’t sign up for anything associated with shoppersdiscountsandrewards.com.  When I agreed on thetrainline.com website for them to use my debit card, as soon as I agreed to receive the £15 refund, my card details were automatically given to shoppersdiscountsandrewards.com and they ‘enrolled’ me on some sort of membership that was going to deduct £10 a month from my bank account.  Luckily, someone on Twitter advised me using this link:
Just goes to show, not everything is as good as it looks.   Just for clarification, there is nothing wrong with thetrainline.com (I got a great service) and if you’re happy with the £10 per month membership charge, for shoppersdiscountsandrewards.com, then there is absolutely no problem.  I am however, not happy  so I have cancelled my membership (which I could do over the phone).  Just waiting for my confirmation email before I completely relax though.  I might send thetrainline.com an email to ask how this happened.
Be careful out there, guys.
