Ireland was beautiful even if it did rain an awful lot of the time.  The trees, forest and woods are lush and green, the waterfalls flowing beautifully.  Some of the coastline is dramatic and some bays have bright turquoise-coloured sea and stunning drop-off cliffs.

The people are genuinely friendly and a little mischievous.

The roads are interesting to say the least and on one road, you will experience anything from potholes, bumps, cracks and no lines to new tarmac, lines, smooth road and new signs.  Seems they can only afford to fix small patches at a time.

I toured the bottom half of Ireland and would love to go back to tour the north.  I had a really wonderful time and would highly recommend it to anyone.

I stayed 2 nights in Dublin, drove south across the Wicklow Mountains to Wicklow and stayed one night there.
Then drove via Glendalough, across to Cashel and stayed one night there taking in the Rock of Cashel and Hore Abbey.
Then 2 nights in Killarney viewing the Killarney National Park and Dingle peninsula.
Then north via the Cliffs of Moher to Galway where I stayed for 3 nights visiting the biggest of the Aran Islands, Inismore; the area around the Connemara National Park, Cong Abbey and Clanmacnoise, then back to Dublin.
