New year, new challenges and new passport stamps

Happy new year!!!!
Yes, okay, it’s a bit late but I have been away to a place called Bazley Beach down the Natal south coast and had no signal for Internet.
What did you all get up to for new year? Hope you had a good one.

The very first thing I remember seeing this year was a crystal clear sky full of the brightest shining stars you could ever imagine. Bazley beach is VERY small and doesn’t even have street lights so the night sky didn’t get any light pollution and was just simply breathtaking. I stood there for ages trying to memorise the star patterns.
I used to write a lot about seeing the positive side of things when I first started this blog. I am a firm believer that no matter what happens (to a certain degree), you can always find something positive. On this occasion, my new years celebration wasn’t quite my scene but the night sky that I was treated to took my breath away and I will never forget that sight. I did try taking a photo but my camera wasn’t sure what I was trying to do and refused to co-operate. Hey Ho, you win some, you lose some.

I have big plans for 2012 so let’s hope the Mayan calendar isn’t correct and the world isn’t going to end this December.
I need some quiet time when I get back to the UK and plan to head somewhere with mountains and lakes to get some fresh air and get out walking a bit. After that some short trips to Europe, perhaps a part time job to bring in some cash, then off to Ireland with a friend before planning some trips further afield to America, Vietnam and Cambodia.

I plan to write more and get some more published and maybe even start to generate some money this way. I plan to get more photos sold through my agencies and work on improving my photography.

On a more personal note, I plan on being more honest with people and not be afraid of what they might say. I often keep quiet to keep the peace and am slowly learning that it isn’t in any way shape or form, effective. We’ll see how that resolution goes.

Do drop me a comment and let me know if you’ve made any resolutions or what things you plan on conquering this year.

It’s going to be a fantastic year, I know because I am going to MAKE it so :-)

Take care
