Happy New Year!!

Happy New Year everyone!! Hope you had a brilliant time and saw the new year in with style.

I received my blog stats for the year on the 1st January and realised I only wrote 14 blog posts in 2013, and was really shocked. I am much more active on Facebook and Instagram so if you have either (or both) of these please click on the links above or on the right hand side to follow my adventures.

Teaching in Hat Yai

Teaching in Hat Yai

So… 2014. How on earth did that happen? One minute I was teaching in Hat Yai in the south of Thailand, the next I was a writer on the tropical island of Koh Samui. It really does go to show how much can change in a year.

Last year I finally discovering something I love doing and am enjoying a truly blissful lifestyle. Each day when I wake up, I am grateful for the life that I lead as I really know it isn’t a ‘normal’ one.

Considering this was meant to be a travel blog, I actually haven’t travelled since April 2013, when I went back to South Africa to visit family. So this year will be about discovering more magical places on this beautiful island and sharing photos and stories with you. I will visit more gorgeous resorts and take photos of their

tropical gardens, their sea views or their delicious food. I will visit more beaches and show you how stunning the sunsets and sunrises are here, I will try more and more street food and describe the tastes for you, make more friends and listen to more stories about how people have ended up on this island whether it be for a holiday or to live.

I am still teaching part time so will share some teaching experiences here with you to show you how deeply rewarding it can be.

Tuesday Tales will continue as I have received really good feedback about it and the Packing Tips page will continue to grow.

On a personal level, I will continue my yoga. I only started 1.5 months ago and am already amazed at the changes in my body. I walk for 40 minutes every morning and spend 30 minutes in meditation before the sun rises. This helps me to ground myself, be still and learn to simply enjoy the moment.

All in all, it will be a great year. What are YOUR plans this year? What do you want to achieve?
